Invitation Style

Your invitations should capture the essence of your big day. Invitations should reflect your style on paper. Be it fun and funky, or glamorous and traditional, send a bit of your personality when you send out your announcements.

Get creative
Invitations can be anything from traditional engraved to bright and informal. Some couples choose unusual shapes or even interactive CD’s. Choosing a theme for your wedding can help create a tone that starts with your invitations. The overall look of your invitations will give your guests a little insight to what type of event you are hosting.

  • Make your invitations pop by choosing your wedding colors as your paper color.
  • Set your invitation apart with a unique shape or design.
  • Keep the formality or informality of your wedding in mind.
  • Never use more than two typefaces.
  • Experiment with embellishments like ribbon or colored bordering.
  • Integrating photos is also a popular trend.

Timing
Your invitations should be ordered at least three months prior to ensure there is ample time for corrections and delivery.

  • Order 25+ extras for last minute changes, additions and mistakes.
  • Consider having invitations addressed by calligraphers to save time.
  • Mail at least 6 weeks before the wedding.
