Reception Music

Guests will be enticed to stay longer and have a more enjoyable experience if you have entertainment that is fun and interactive.

Choosing your entertainment
Entertainment during the reception may not seem as important with all the other planning that is going on, though many brides say they should have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment. The choice is usually between live music or a disc jockey.

Dinner music
Light, instrumental music creates a nice ambience and encourages socializing.

Having pleasant dinner music can set the tone for a classy evening to remember.

Reception music
Once the food service is complete, the music switches to livelier dance music.

DJ’s can customize their music selections to meet the wishes of you and your guests.

Experienced DJ’s know the proper time to switch dinner music to dance music.

Live music
If you opt for a live band, the genre of the music and play list maybe limited by the band’s experience. Try to choose a band that has been together for a while.

Choosing a disc jockey
Choosing the right DJ is one of the most important decisions you make to ensure the success of your reception. Everything else can be perfect, but if the music isn’t good, the party will fizzle.

Don’t choose a DJ on price alone. There is a reason some DJ’s charge more money than others. Experienced DJ’s tend to be more expensive.

DJ’s should be able to announce the arrival of the couple, introductions, the first dance and events such as the garter and bouquet toss.
